Welcome to Vroom’s Photos!
A place where I share my photographic work, thoughts, and adventures. If that sounds interesting to you, or if you’re one of my friends who’s obligated to visit so I don’t feel bad, then you’ve arrived at the right place.

Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder...
is what I usually end up telling myself whenever I show off my work to friends and family, often only to be met with a middling response to the photos that I thought were amazing, and an incredible response to photographs that I believed to be incredibly mediocre. Photography, however, is something that you do to give the world a unique insight into your own personal vision and perception of beauty. So, in the same way that not everyone you meet is going to like you and the way you think (sorry to break it to you), not everyone is going to like your photographic perspective, and that’s okay. At least that’s what I tell myself.

Bird's of a Feather, Flock Together
However, in this idiom, I usually find myself like a roadrunner: solitary. But you’ll be part of my flock, right? Right? Anyways, bird-related analogies aside, the best moments in our lives are those which we have someone special to share them with. Unfortunately, I’m sorta lacking in the special someone department, so I guess you’ll do. If you’re interested in the stories behind some of my photos, I have a blog just for you! There is often a whole story behind a single photo, which can be equally as interesting as the photo itself. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Wait, that would have been a way better title…

Jot that down!
No, this isn’t an idiom. Yes, I googled the idiom for the last section. I’m an engineer, not a writer, okay? Gimme a break. What I do like to write down, though, are various tips and tricks that I’ve learned, technical and otherwise, about the gear that I use and the way that I take photos. You may find that these notes interest you, bore you out of your mind, or are just barely more interesting than whatever you happen to be doing right now. Either way, they’re here whether you like ‘em or not.
